The Columbus Action Network is to serve as an incubator for projects and programs that aim to addresses the needs of the community.
While some programs are devloped internally others
The Columbus Action Network is to find and address the needs of the community that have not yet been addressed and to embrace new ideas and approaches to solving those issues.

- Allow people in the community to pitch ideas and take the initiative to lead the project for success
- Use social entrepreneurship concepts to ensure that projects are self sustaining without the need of constant fundraising
- The organization should focus on the fundraising aspect while each project team work to ensure that the project is successful.
Goals
To become an incubator of good ideas that aim to address the needs of the community.
Think of us as a think tank that goes beyond thinking, an activist group that goes beyond yelling, and an endowment fund organized not to save money for the future but to SAVE the future.

About Us:
The Columbus Action Network is (CAN) starts conversations about the problems that exist in our communities and then find solutions for them. We are a network of social ventures that uses entrepreneurial principles to organize, create, and manage ventures to make social change. So, whereas a business entrepreneur typically measures performance in profit and return, we focus on creating social capital to further our social goals.
Although we have not yet received a 501(c)(3) status we are a not-for-profit organization.
